Job summary

Seabrook Solutions Inc. seeks a Supervisor of Environmental Operations to oversee hazardous waste operations at Redstone Arsenal, AL.

You will supervise staff, conduct audits of waste generators and facilities, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental requirements. You will prepare records and reports, provide technical guidance, train waste managers, and maintain safety and quality standards across the installation’s environmental programs, including wastewater systems

Qualifications

• Requires a college degree in physical or biological sciences or 10 years managing environmental operations.
• 6 years in Environmental Management with 2 years supervisory experience; non-degreed 10 years; degreed 6 years.
• Must be able to read, write and interpret technical data and inspect/maintain environmental system components.

Responsibilities

• Oversee environmental operations for assigned worksite.
• Conduct audits and inspections of hazardous waste generator points and treatment, storage and disposal facilities.
• Prepare and maintain all records, reports and documentation to comply with federal, state and local environmental requirements.
• Conduct reclamation, recycling and reuse operations for the program.
• Provide technical assistance and training for waste managers.
• Establish and train Spill Response Teams and act as incident Commander as needed.
• Monitor NPDES and Storm Water programs and support environmental permits.
• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment and related facilities.
• Direct chemical treatment for cooling and heating systems.
• Analyze and resolve work-related issues and assist specialists in problem resolution.
• Ensure productivity, schedule and contract commitments comply with policy and safety.
