Job summary

Actalent in Redmond, WA is seeking a Hardware Validation Engineer to validate analog, digital, and embedded hardware subsystems. You will develop verification plans and test procedures, collaborate with design teams, and ensure designs meet performance and reliability targets.

You will perform board-level testing, solder components, troubleshoot PCBs, document results, and contribute to process improvements. Aerospace/auto/consumer electronics experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of board-level design verification experience for aerospace, automotive, or consumer electronics.
• Experience developing verification plans, test procedures, and requirements.
• Strong PCB troubleshooting and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive test and validation activities for analog, digital, and embedded hardware subsystems.
• Collaborate with design and integration teams to understand hardware architectures and validation strategies.
• Develop requirements, verification plans, test cases, and procedures for product design verification.
• Execute verification plans and tests for boards used in aerospace, automotive, or consumer electronics.
• Troubleshoot and debug PCBs, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare hardware for testing with through-hole and surface-mount soldering.
• Document test results and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical leadership within the validation team.
