Job summary

itD is seeking a Technical Program Manager III to drive hardware development programs for next-generation consumer electronics, with a focus on Smart Glasses. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in hardware engineering and technical program management, coordinating engineering deliverables, supplier activities, hardware builds, qualification, and manufacturing readiness across cross-functional teams. Location: Remote – PST preferred.

Start Date: October 2026. Duration: 12 months.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hardware engineering or TPM experience in consumer electronics.
• Experience managing technology development programs from design through manufacturing.
• Experience working with overseas hardware suppliers.
• Experience with ODM, JDM, and CM vendor engagement models.
• Knowledge of phase-gate technology development processes.
• Experience in mechanical system development, DFM, tooling, validation, and characterization.
• Experience coordinating many cross-functional partners and programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering design deliverables, specs, experiments, validation plans and milestones.
• Drive hardware component delivery, supplier coordination, and qualification activities for builds and mass production timelines.
• Develop schedules based on system requirements, supplier lead times and priorities.
• Coordinate product design convergence, design lock, DFM and manufacturing readiness activities.
• Plan DOE, build matrices, material readiness and hardware deliverables for system builds.
• Manage program status, risks, dependencies and updates to teams and leadership.
• Collaborate with engineering, suppliers, manufacturing partners and cross-functional teams for Smart Glasses program planning.
