Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA, is seeking a Hardware Manufacturing Test Engineer to join the Electromagnetic Warfare team. You will own production test flow, troubleshoot complex issues, and push for automation and data-driven improvements.

You will work with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering to reduce cycle times, improve test coverage, and ensure high-throughput, high-quality hardware shipping to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years in manufacturing test and product sustainment.
• Familiar with Linux, Ubuntu, LabVIEW, and NixOS.
• Experience with contract manufacturers in PCBA testing.
• Competent with test equipment (power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscope, function generators, spectrum analyzers, data acquisition).
• Strong root cause analysis of non‑conforming hardware.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiar with PLM systems, MES, and TES.
• Experience integrating electrical, mechanical, and software/firmware systems.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own production test activities and ensure test flow.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and resolve complex electrical issues found during testing.
• Maintain test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream from system to component tests.
• Improve and sustain existing test systems for automation, consistency, and coverage.
• Generate test work instructions for technicians and train them on equipment use.
• Develop library of common failure modes with troubleshooting guides.
• Determine root cause of product failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Support returns and failure analysis with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
• Offer feedback to early-stage test design for new products (NPI).
• Analyze test data and document results to identify defects and improvements.
• Collaborate with design engineers on product enhancements based on tests.
• Optimize test strategies for efficiency without quality loss.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment for precision.
• Support continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Execute testing as required.
