Job summary

Slip Robotics, a fast-scaling B2B Robotics-as-a-Service company, seeks a Senior Hardware Test Engineer to drive tests from design to production for SlipBots and SlipLifts across North America. You will design test plans, automate testing, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with manufacturing to ensure robust hardware release.

You will apply knowledge of hardware testing, test automation, and measurement tools to improve reliability and efficiency in a dynamic robotics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in hardware testing in both product and manufacturing environments.
• Experience with hardware design principles and testing methodologies.
• Experience with test automation and development of test frameworks.
• Skilled in using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Adaptable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed test plans for hardware components and systems, ensuring adherence to specifications.
• Create and oversee tests for the manufacturing team, developing test setups for efficient production.
• Utilize test equipment to evaluate electronic systems and components.
• Analyze test results and collaborate with engineering to address issues.
• Lead development of automated test systems to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Document test procedures and results for clear communication with team and management.
• Stay updated on latest testing technologies in robotics and automation.
