Job summary

Mercor is seeking Systems & Integration Engineering Experts for remote contract work in the United States. You will apply hands-on systems, integration, reliability, and test engineering to solve complex hardware problems and ensure robust product performance.

The role requires deep knowledge of system requirements, verification strategies, and manufacturing/test workflows, with a track record as the responsible engineer for complex hardware systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional systems, integration, reliability, or test engineering experience.
• Demonstrated experience as the responsible engineer for complex physical systems or hardware products.
• Deep technical expertise in systems engineering and requirements/verification & validation for hardware integration and test.
• Strong command of requirements traceability, interface management, verification & validation, test planning, fault isolation, and reliability analysis.

Responsibilities

• Apply hands-on systems, integration, reliability, and test engineering to solve problems with real hardware products.
• Review and evaluate system requirements, interfaces, integration plans, verification strategies, and test procedures.
• Analyze system-level interactions across electrical, mechanical, firmware/software, thermal, controls, and manufacturing domains.
• Diagnose integration failures and identify root causes, interface issues, design deficiencies, reliability risks, and test gaps.
• Develop or review rigorous engineering problems, reference solutions, test cases, verification criteria, failure analyses, and documentation.
• Provide clear technical feedback grounded in real-world hardware development and production experience.
