Blue Origin is seeking a Principal Hardware Systems Architect in California to define and lead the end-to-end hardware architecture for our next-generation satellite user terminal. You will own system-level design across RF antenna arrays, high-speed digital processing, power systems, and mechanical integration.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years hardware engineering experience.
• 4+ years as Principal/Lead Architect delivering complex wireless, radar, or satellite products.
• Strong experience in high-volume manufacturing and BOM trade-offs.
• Leadership in cross-functional hardware teams.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end hardware architecture for the user terminal.
• Select main SoCs, high-speed transceivers, memory, and peripherals.
• Anchor RF, Electrical, Mechanical, and Embedded Software teams to resolve interfaces.
• Define thermal dissipation strategy and high-voltage power delivery for beamforming states.
• Lead hardware through product lifecycle to mass manufacturing with CM/suppliers.
• Establish metrics, validation plans, and compliance for international deployment (FCC/CE/ETSI).
