Job summary

TILT Autonomy, Inc. in Annapolis, MD is seeking a procurement-focused professional to own sourcing, purchase orders, and supplier relationships for hardware components and assemblies.

You will work closely with engineers to secure parts early, manage lead times, and ensure on-time deliveries to both our Annapolis floor and contract manufacturers. The role requires 3+ years buying for hardware, strong PO ownership, BOM literacy, and U.S.

Qualifications

• 3+ years buying for a hardware company
• Owned real POs and vendor conversations
• Able to read a BOM and an engineering drawing well enough to know what you're buying
• Organized and maintains records proactively
• U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and purchasing: Place and track purchase orders with vendors from DigiKey and McMaster; qualify new suppliers and negotiate pricing and lead times; second-source critical parts.
• Planning for rate: Convert production plans into buy plans, track long-lead items, and secure volume breaks.
• Feeding the contract manufacturers: Kit and stage material for CM builds; track what's consigned vs bought; ensure timely delivery.
• Keeping it clean: Maintain BOM and inventory records and procurement documentation; monitor export controls and country-of-origin.
• Handoff: Coordinate with engineers to ensure parts availability aligns with design and production schedules.
