Job summary
Aurora is seeking a Staff Hardware Reliability Engineer to lead reliability testing for automotive drive-by-wire systems and to ensure robustness of the hardware stack in autonomous vehicles. You will collaborate with HW, electrical, firmware, mechanical, software and manufacturing teams to drive reliability improvements.
The role requires 5+ years in hardware reliability, strong analysis skills, and experience with HALT/HASS testing, Weibull analysis, and DFMEA.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics (preferred), Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hardware reliability engineering experience in automotive/aerospace/heavy-duty vehicle industries.
- Strong understanding of reliability testing, HALT/HASS, vibration, thermal cycling, humidity, and failure analysis.
Responsibilities
- Lead hardware reliability testing and validation for automotive drive-by-wire systems in autonomous vehicles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure system reliability.
- Develop and monitor reliability testing protocols, including stress and environmental tests.
