Job summary

Google is seeking a seasoned hardware quality engineer to drive leadership across data center hardware programs. You will collaborate with customers, data center teams, and manufacturing to analyze issues and implement robust fixes from concept to production.

The role emphasizes stabilization of hardware design, validation, and deployment processes, with frequent executive communication and a track record of delivering systemic improvements for large-scale infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience working on hardware quality within a data center or IT environment.
• 5 years of experience in technical leadership.
• Experience with data center and enterprise hardware (servers, storage, networking and AI systems), design processes and verification methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers, data center teams and manufacturing teams to understand and analyze hardware quality issues.
• Partner with internal hardware and software teams and external vendors to triage, root cause and fix hardware quality issues.
• Lead systemic changes to drive continuous improvement in hardware design, validation and deployment with the goal of preventing future quality issues.
• Present to Directors and VPs inside and outside of Google.
