Google's Hardware Operations team seeks a leader to manage a Data Center Technicians group, ensuring high-quality server hardware installation and complex troubleshooting. You will own deployment outcomes and maintenance across networks, storage, compute, and AI infrastructure.

The role emphasizes developing managers, building cross-functional teams, and delivering on strategic initiatives in a global environment while maintaining safety and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience managing site wide or inter-site technical teams.
• 5 years of experience in site-level data center operational leadership.
• 5 years of experience developing and managing managers.
• Experience with process optimization, risk modeling, and performance management (KPIs/SLOs).
• Ability to work non-standard hours, weekends, nights, holidays, and on shift-based schedules.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the site-level server operations team and align priorities with global objectives.
• Drive a robust safety culture and endorse EHS initiatives at the site level.
• Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing team of managers and technicians; lead succession planning.
• Account for KPIs, SLAs, and SLOs, and identify opportunities for process optimization.
