Job summary

NVIDIA seeks a Senior Product Development Engineer (Finance) to drive datacenter server platforms from concept to high-volume production. You will partner with hardware, firmware, software, manufacturing, and program management to ensure robust DFx and seamless handoff to manufacturing.

You will develop comprehensive development plans, work with factory teams on prototype builds, analyze throughput and yields, and publish clear status reports and SOPs for internal teams and contract

Qualifications

• BS/MS or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering and 12+ years of relevant work experience.
• Proven skills and experience in design and manufacture of complex compute or networking hardware platforms.
• Strong ability to diagnose and rationally solve problems on complex hardware platforms.
• Familiar with diagnostics/test software as used in a factory setting.
• Familiarity with Linux command line, running commands, reviewing outputs.
• Ability to review logfiles and make initial triage decisions based on documentation provided by the Engineering Team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for collaborating with global matrixed teams and developing clear documentation and reports.
• A high-energy, proactive self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability to drive critical tasks and projects through to completion.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally, typically 2-3 times per quarter

Responsibilities

• Owns, develops and delivers the Manufacturing, Test, and Failure Analysis/recovery process for new datacenter servers.
• Collaborate with HW/FW/SW engineering teams, manufacturing partners, and other operations groups.
• Develop and implement comprehensive product development plans that result in high quality products.
• Work with factory personnel during prototype/validation builds; drive solutions and report status.
• Define and implement process improvements based on data collection and analysis.
• Review build dashboards to analyze throughput, yields and failures.
• Debug server platforms and perform rework, retesting and recovery as needed.
• Publish daily status and build reports; develop SOPs for assembly, test and DFx for internal teams or contract manufacturers.
• Collaborate with Contract Manufactures Failure Analysis, Test Engineers and Operators for smooth operations
