Job summary

AMD is seeking a hands-on Hardware FA lead to own end-to-end root cause analysis for server PCBA bring-up, with emphasis on power delivery, PDBs, and high-speed IO. You’ll isolate board-level issues, review schematics, perform SI/PI checks, and collaborate across hardware design, validation, and manufacturing to implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on PCBA fault analysis across power delivery, rails, and IO paths.
• Ability to review schematics and layouts to identify RCAs.
• Proficiency with Python, Linux, and SQL for data-driven debugging.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware failure analysis and ownership for server PCBA bring-up and field issues.
• Develop structured debug plans using oscilloscope and logic analyzer data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive corrective actions to closure.
• Automate data collection and logs to support RCA conclusions.
• Prepare technical reports and exec summaries detailing root cause and impact.
