Job summary

AMD’s Server Platform Hardware Design team is seeking an engineer to assist with PCBA-based logic design for current and future AMD microprocessors and chipsets, focusing on debug, validation and testing. This role offers cross-functional collaboration with power, mechanical, firmware, and validation teams.

You will develop specifications, design board-level products using Cadence tools, debug prototypes, oversee manufacturing at outside vendors, and contribute to detailed technical

Qualifications

• A technology related Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• Excellent board level debugging skills.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal and customer facing interaction.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive specifications for board level and system level products, based on a clear understanding of the requirements and cross-functional team collaboration.
• Design board-level products using Cadence tools
• Debug prototypes to achieve production-worthy products
• Oversee the manufacturing process at outside vendors
• Write and review detailed technical documentation
• Provide technical expertise and leadership for less experienced engineers
• Support product engineering in resolving customer problems which requires system-level expertise
• Provide debug, applications support, and design assistance to customers, field applications, and sales
