Job summary

PTR Global is seeking an engineering leader to drive hardware product development from concept to mass production in San Francisco. This on-site role (4 days a week) requires hands-on leadership, hands-on technical work, and strong collaboration with leadership, engineering, and product teams to realize the product vision.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in outdoor/wearable consumer electronics and 3+ years of management, with experience in RF, rugged devices, and international supplier

Qualifications

Startup or small company experience.
Management experience in fast scaling environments.
Acoustic device experience.
HAM experience/interest.

Responsibilities

Function as a systems architect for new products, leveraging multi-domain expertise to resolve cross-functional design challenges.
Mentor engineers in best practices, work prioritization, and internal documentation.
Recruit and manage a mix of full-time and contract engineering talent to help scale the growing needs.
Work cross-functionally with other department heads to accomplish company strategic goals.
