Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Hardware Engineering Manager to lead hardware development from architecture to production in Austin, TX.

You will head a cross-disciplinary team spanning HW, mechanical, and ECAD, and collaborate with PM, RTL, software, compliance, and manufacturing to deliver robust networking hardware. The role requires a BS in EE with 10 years’ relevant experience, strong people-management skills, and expertise in high-speed signal integrity, EMC design, and embedded

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 10 years relevant experience.
• Strong people-management and development skills.
• Experience with design, development, and productization of computer networking equipment.
• Knowledge of high-speed signal integrity concepts and practices.
• Experience with EMC design techniques and solving EMC non-compliance issues.
• Experience with high performance processors and embedded platforms.
• Knowledge of PCB Stackups and materials.
• Strong analytical problem solving skills.
• Ability to excel in a fast paced dynamic environment.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of hardware development from architecture through to production release
• Lead a diverse team of HW, mechanical, and ECAD resources
• Participate in a cross-functional team environment including PM, RTL, Software, compliance, and manufacturing
• Assist in the management and development of OEM relationships
• Support sustaining efforts and implement changes to improve yields
