Job summary

Software Placement Group in Austin, TX seeks a Hardware Engineering Manager to lead hardware development from architecture through production release, delivering high-performance networking equipment and ensuring engineering excellence across a cross-functional team.

You will lead a diverse HW, mechanical, and ECAD group, collaborate with PM, RTL, software, compliance and manufacturing, and help manage OEM relationships while driving quality and yields.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 10 years relevant experience
• Proven people-management and leadership experience
• Experience in design, development, and productization of networking hardware
• Knowledge of high-speed signal integrity concepts
• Experience with EMC design and solving EMC non-compliance issues
• Experience with high-performance processors and embedded platforms
• Knowledge of PCB stackups and materials
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced dynamic environment
• Excellent verbal and written English skills and cross-functional collaboration

Overview

A computer networking equipment manufacturer is seeking a Hardware Engineering Manager to lead hardware development from architecture through production release. This role is central to delivering high-performance networking products and driving engineering excellence across a cross-functional organization.

What you'll do

• Lead all phases of hardware development from architecture through to production release
• Lead a diverse team of HW, mechanical, and ECAD resources
• Participate in a cross-functional team environment including PM, RTL, Software, compliance, and manufacturing
• Assist in the management and development of OEM relationships
• Support sustaining efforts and implement changes to improve yields

Required qualifications
