Job summary

Amazon Robotics Technical Services seeks a Senior Manager of Hardware Engineering to lead the central hardware support function for the robotics fleet. You will own hardware outcomes from product readiness to in-field maintenance, directing Custom Tools, Retrofits, and Problem Management teams.

You will set multi-year strategy, partner with product engineering, deployment, field support, and supply chain, and develop leaders while scaling headcount and delivery accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of engineering team management experience.
• Experience developing and testing mechanical robotics equipment.
• Experience with DFx (cost, test, manufacturing).
• Experience in reliability/maintenance environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a multi-team hardware organization spanning Custom Tools, Retrofits, and Problem Management.
• Set multi-year technical and organizational strategy for central hardware support across Amazon Robotics.
• Act as the central hardware authority, aligning priorities across product engineering, deployment, field support, safety, and supply chain.
• Build leaders, hire, coach, and raise the engineering bar across the organization.
• Own headcount planning, team structure, and delivery accountability as the organization scales.
