Job summary

TS Conductor is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to drive hardware partner development, qualification, and field deployment of overhead transmission conductor solutions. The role covers hardware tests, supplier QA, and cross-functional collaboration with manufacturers, utilities, and internal teams.

You will manage qualification programs, analyze test results, and lead corrective actions while traveling internationally and domestically to support partners and field installations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in overhead transmission components.
• Strong understanding of conductors, insulators, hardware and fittings.
• Experience developing, evaluating, qualifying, manufacturing, or applying engineered mechanical products.
• Proficiency with engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, BOMs, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain technical relationships with hardware manufacturing partners.
• Lead development and qualification of hardware solutions and fittings.
• Define qualification requirements based on conductor characteristics and standards.
• Coordinate prototypes, lab testing, field trials, and product qualification.
• Review test results, identify root causes, and drive design or process improvements.
• Provide onsite installation support and field guidance as needed.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver qualified hardware solutions.
