Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Hardware Engineer Senior to support the Space Force Range contract (SFRC). You will design and develop integrated hardware and software solutions for the Communications subsystem, and coordinate across all LTRS subsystems to meet mission requirements.

You will analyze performance, stability, interoperability, and life-cycle issues; allocate requirements; and contribute to CONOPS and system modeling with a focus on reliability and external interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, MIS or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
• Experience with computer hardware, OS software and desktop applications with concentration in communications instrumentation.
• Experience with design principles and applications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance (US citizenship/naturalization).
• Valid US Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop integrated solutions to meet business requirements or enhance performance.
• Integrates hardware and software within the Communications subsystem and coordinates across LTRS subsystems.
• Analyzes potential systems and prepares documentation for performance, stability, interoperability, and life cycle issues.
• Analyzes and allocates requirements from subsystem level down to projects.
• Identifies and prioritizes deficiencies for proposed projects.
• Applies advanced methods and research techniques; assists in impact assessments and CONOPS changes.
• Provides technical consultation on communications systems modeling and simulation.
• Supports other duties as assigned.
