Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Hardware Engineer to join its Reality Labs organization, focusing on characterizing sensors, audio, and camera subsystems and validating PCB modules. The role involves hands-on bench testing, script-driven automation, and collaboration with domain leads to meet project deadlines in a cutting-edge AR/VR environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in electrical system testing for consumer electronics, strong lab skills, and experience with Python and possibly C#.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Electrical System testing for consumer electronics.
• Experience with sensors, audio, or camera subsystems.
• Experience with bench electrical testing and lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMM, e-load, power supply, power analyzer, signal generator, temp chamber).
• Understanding of board schematics and layout; identify potential failure points in DUT.
• Knowledge of Python for data processing and automation.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
• Self-motivated and a team player.
• High-speed characterization/testing; SIPI knowledge board and system-level validation/debugging.
• C# and shell scripting are nice to have.
• Experience with data acquisition devices (DAQ).
• Masters in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

Responsibilities

• Define electrical characterization/validation methodologies for sensors, audio, and camera subsystems.
• Track and execute detailed test plans for PCB, modules, and subsystems characterization.
• Develop automated test setups with software scripting to implement module characterization/validation.
• Own execution, interpretation, and reporting of results.
• Support system bring-up and debugging activities.
• Clearly communicate test plans and results.
