Job summary

Meta Reality Labs is seeking a senior Electrical Engineer to shape the electrical architecture of next-generation AR/VR wearables, AI glasses, and related devices. You will drive power delivery, mixed-signal design, and system-level integration from concept to mass production.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration across silicon, mechanical, firmware, and systems teams, communicating complex decisions at the executive level while ensuring stringent power, thermal, and size constraints are

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in electrical engineering for consumer electronics, wearables, or similar portable hardware products.
  • Experience defining electrical system architecture across power management, mixed-signal design, high-speed interfaces (USB, PCIe, MIPI, LPDDR), and RF coexistence in compact form-factor devices.
  • Experience leading electrical design from concept through mass production, including schematic design, PCB layout review, bring-up, and DVT/PVT validation.
  • Experience driving cross-functional technical alignment across silicon, mechanical, firmware, and systems engineering disciplines.
  • Experience communicating complex electrical architecture decisions and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders at the executive level.
  • Experience with electrical design for AI glasses, wearables, or other head-worn wearable devices with stringent power, thermal, and size constraints.
  • Experience with electrical reliability engineering, failure mode analysis, and qualification methodologies for consumer wearable hardware.
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews).
  • Experience with wireless subsystem integration including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and UWB coexistence in wearable platforms.
  • Experience influencing external silicon or component supplier roadmaps to meet differentiated product requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements).
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies.
