Job summary

Reality Labs is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our Data Systems Hardware & Site Engineering team. You will guide a multi-disciplinary group across studio, wearable, and in-the-wild capture systems, deploying and sustaining hardware across North America.

You will translate research roadmaps into system requirements, own site engineering, mentor engineers, drive architecture reviews for hardware and firmware, and balance priorities across Codec Avatars, Input, and Health programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in leadership and people management in medium to large scale organizations.
• Direct experience shipping consumer hardware or in technology R&D.
• Experience with multi-site technical operations (labs, data collection, manufacturing).
• Strong knowledge of camera systems, data capture, and high-bandwidth pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware, electrical, and firmware teams across capture systems.
• Drive design reviews and establish reusable subsystems.
• Manage site engineering across North America and coordinate with researchers.
• Balance priorities across Codec Avatars, Input, and Health programs.
