Job summary

HCLTech is seeking an experienced Senior Hardware/Electrical Design Engineer in California to lead high-precision test and instrumentation projects from concept to deployment. The role requires strong expertise in signal conditioning, ADC/DAC design, noise control, and FPGA/MCU engagement.

You will design electrical hardware, validate through rigorous testing, and collaborate across engineering teams to automate testing infrastructure and ensure DFM compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on electrical hardware design experience.
• Experience owning designs from requirements through deployment.
• Ability to independently lead hardware design efforts and technical reviews.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements from laboratory and test stakeholders
• Design and develop electrical hardware solutions
• Create system architectures and detailed circuit designs
• Develop low-noise, high-accuracy instrumentation and test equipment
• Perform design validation, verification, and troubleshooting
• Conduct design reviews and maintain high-quality documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve and automate testing infrastructure
