Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond, WA, seeks a Senior Hardware Engineer to own PCBA development from concept through production and to design high-speed digital circuitry for phased array systems. You will collaborate across teams to meet performance targets and support transitions to manufacturing.

The role involves leading schematic capture, PCB layout, vendor engagement, and test automation, with a strong emphasis on production readiness and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.
• Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
• Experience in system-level architecture and board-level design
• Experience in hardware lab equipment such as digital scopes, logic analyzers, and soldering tools
• Experience in layout design
• Experience in motherboard design, PCB design including schematic capture, stackup and circuit board layout
• Experience in high-speed digital design, multi-gigabit SERDES, and signal integrity

Responsibilities

• Own PCBA development from concept through production.
• Design and optimize different blocks of electronics sub-systems.
• Design high-speed digital circuitry in collaboration with various teams.
• Lead and review schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Lead PCB vendor engagement for DFM review.
• Optimize PCB stack-up for performance and cost.
• Generate test plans/procedures based off high level requirement definition.
• Complete board bring-up and perform test campaigns for different modules and subsystems.
• Design of automated test systems, test fixtures, and factory test.
• Support the transition of the designs to production.
