Job summary

Aeva is seeking a Sr/Staff Hardware Engineer to join the EE HW team. You will own the design, build and bring up of mixed-signal PCBs for our LiDAR system, defining the architecture and sub-systems from schematic to fabrication.

You will work closely with Electrical Engineers and cross-functional teams to review designs for function and layout, optimize for cost and power, and lead a small HW team as needed. A strong background in high-speed interfaces and LiDAR-related hardware is highly valued.

Qualifications

• BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of HW design from architecture to prototype and bring-up.
• Deep understanding of HW components, interfaces and SW controls.

Responsibilities

• Break down product requirements into architecture and EE PCB designs.
• Collaborate with EE and cross-functional teams to review designs for function and layout.
• Optimize architecture to reduce HW/SW complexity, cost and power.
• Own PCBs and subsystems from schematic through layout, fabrication and bring-up.
