Job summary

Nuvacore, Inc. is seeking a Hardware Board Design Engineer to drive architecture and development of high-performance, energy‑efficient server solutions for data center workloads. You will own end-to-end hardware development from concept through lab bring-up and validation.

The role requires leading schematic capture, layout collaboration, power/thermal management, and cross-functional alignment with Silicon, Packaging, and SI/PI teams to ensure robust PDN and high-speed interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in high-speed hardware board design, ideally for enterprise servers/data center hardware.
• Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Cadence Allegro, Concept HDL, OrCAD, Altium).
• Experience with high-speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR/LPDDR, USB) and SI/PI constraints.
• Solid board-level power delivery design experience (DC-DC, multi-phase VRMs).
• Hands-on lab debugging with diagnostic equipment (DMMs, scopes, network analyzers).

Responsibilities

• Lead board-level architecture and design of HDI server motherboards and baseboards.
• Own schematic entry and complex hierarchical designs with reliable components.
• Collaborate with PCB layout engineers on stack-ups, routing, and shielding.
• Coordinate with Silicon/Package Design and SI/PI teams for high-speed interfaces and PDN.
• Design efficient power delivery paths (VRMs, multiphase buck converters).
• Lead bring-up, debugging, and validation of prototype boards in lab environments.
• Prepare fabrication and assembly documentation and support mass production.
