Job summary

Amazon Web Services in Cupertino, California, is seeking an experienced hardware engineer to own next-generation server components. You will lead design, validation, and launch of motherboard, graphics, accelerators, and programmable hardware in a fast-paced team.

You will collaborate across physics, firmware and software to improve performance, reliability and cost while delivering a world-class customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of hardware engineering experience.
• Experience reviewing PCB designs with Allegro, CAM350, or equivalent.
• Experience developing functional specifications, design verification plans and test procedures.
• 7+ years of experience with I2C, SPI, UART.
• Experience interfacing with thermal, mechanical, firmware and software teams during product development.

Responsibilities

• Own next-generation server components and hardware design.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design, validate, and launch at scale.
• Improve performance, quality, and cost of hardware.
• Lead implementation of new technologies for customer experience.
