Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to develop, test, and optimize PCB solutions for residential and power products in a cloud-connected IoT environment. You will lead analog, digital, RF, and mixed-signal designs, collaborate with hardware, software, and product teams, and contribute to NPD and sustaining engineering.

The role emphasizes hands-on lab work, design-for-manufacturing, and compliance activities, with a hybrid onsite schedule in Milwaukee, WI.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required; MS preferred.
• 6+ years in electrical hardware development.
• Experience leading technical teams.
• Hands-on PCB design and circuit modeling.
• Knowledge of wireless tech (BLE/Wi‑Fi/ISM/LTE).
• Proficient with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, DMM).
• Experience with UL-related product design and EMC.

Responsibilities

• Lead portions of new product development from concept validation through design for manufacturing for analog, digital, RF, and mixed-signal designs.
• Contribute to sustaining engineering efforts for the existing product line.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define electrical hardware requirements and system architecture.
• Define and execute hardware validation tests for functional, environmental, and lifecycle performance.
• Support product safety, EMC, and environmental compliance activities.
• Mentor junior engineers in hardware design practices and tools.
