Amentum is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to support the Space Force Range contract. The role emphasizes design and development of integrated hardware solutions and coordination across subsystems in a DoD environment.

Required is a Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in systems engineering, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required). The annual starting salary is $130,000–$140,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Essential Functions

• Design and develop integrated solutions to meet business requirements or enhance performance.
• Integrates the hardware and software functions within the Communications subsystem and coordinates across all LTRS subsystems.
• Analyzes potential systems and prepares supporting documentation for current and future performance, stability, interoperability, and systems management/life cycle issues.
• Analyzes, decomposes, and allocates requirements from the subsystem level down through the CI level to specific projects.
• Analyzes range deficiencies to identify and prioritize proposed projects to address those deficiencies.
• Applies advanced methods, theories and research techniques and assists in the development, implementation and documentation of impact assessments, architecture change recommendations and CONOPS change recommendations.
• Provides technical consultation and expertise on communications systems modeling and simulation.
• Supports other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or related engineering field. Experience working with computer hardware, operating system software and desktop applications with a specific concentration in communications instrumentation Experience working with design principles and applications. The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project requirements. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual starting salary for this position is between $130,000 or $140,000 annually.
