Job summary

The Boeing Company seeks Hardware Design Engineers for the Long Beach, CA area to support the development and sustainment of our avionics lab and related test activities.

You will lead hardware architecture decisions, develop test methods, and ensure integration across mechanical, electrical, and software domains to meet program needs. This role spans mid to senior levels with opportunities to advance within BT&E.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with electronic hardware testing and troubleshooting.
• 3+ years of experience in a laboratory environment.
• Experience dealing with wiring design drawings including system interconnects, wire routing and equipment installation drawings.

Responsibilities

• Own domain-specific hardware architecture, component selection, physical design, and detailed mechanical, electrical, and test engineering.
• Perform systems verification through execution of test procedures.
• Support the development and verification of test methods.
• Develop detailed test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition.
• Develop solutions to calibration systems problems of limited scope and impact.
• Design test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements.
• Use analytical tools to verify the design.
• Analyze, process, and format data to customer requirements.
• Lead hardware preparation, artifacts, and clear-to-build criteria for program milestones (Hardware SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, FCA/PCA).
• Review test data for accuracy and quality before publication.
• Prepare and publish test reports to document results.
