Cisco's Common Hardware Group (CHG) seeks a seasoned hardware design engineer to own server sub-system design and validation. You will ensure designs meet specs, drive PCB stackups, and establish safety standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams on product development.

The role emphasizes hands-on hardware validation, PDN analysis, and shipping-capable PCB practices within a global hardware platform team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in EE/CE with experience in system-level development; focus on server/CPU/GPU/network/storage.
• Experience in hardware designs and validation.

Responsibilities

• Own design and validation of a server sub-system.
• Ensure design meets functional specs.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and teams.
• Drive PCB and StackUp detail construction.
• Create and implement PCB safety standards with SI and PI in mind.
• Work with and manage PCB product development.
• Own safety compliance, board file analysis, and process manufacturing.
