Job summary

Penguin Solutions seeks a Senior Hardware Design Engineer in Newark, CA to lead design, bring-up, and validation of advanced hardware platforms with high‑speed interfaces and memory subsystems.

You will work with cross‑functional teams across architecture, firmware, software, and mechanical engineering to ensure robust, production‑ready hardware. Onsite work in Silicon Valley area is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in EE/EECS or related field.
• 5–8 years of hardware design experience.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces and memory systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex hardware systems with high-speed interfaces.
• Create architecture specifications, schematics, BOMs, and documentation.
• Collaborate with PCB layout engineers to ensure SI/PI and manufacturability.
• Perform board bring-up and validation on prototype hardware.
• Conduct electrical characterization using oscilloscopes and analyzers.
