Job summary

219 Design, LLC is seeking an experienced hardware engineer to lead system design, schematic capture, and PCB layout across rapid prototypes to medical-grade devices. You will architect analog/digital electronics, power solutions with battery management, and support wired/wireless interfaces (USB, Ethernet, BLE, WiFi, CAN, etc.).

You will collaborate with mechanical and firmware teams, manage vendors for prototype fabrication, and drive projects to on-time delivery while sharing knowledge in

Qualifications

• BS or MS in computer engineering, electrical engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficient in Altium and standard test equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer).
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship; Raleigh or Bay Area office allowed.
• Ability to work 20+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

• System design, schematic capture, and PCB layout for rapid prototypes to complex devices.
• Architect and validate analog and digital electronics.
• Design power electronics, including battery management and low power.
• Design circuits for USB, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, CAN, BLE, WiFi, cellular, etc.
• Vendor management for prototype PCB fabrication and assembly.
• Prototype, board bring‑up, and hardware debugging.
• Collaborate with mechanical and firmware engineers; participate in design reviews.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables; present in weekly discussions.
