Job summary

SR2 | Socially Responsible Recruitment | Certified B Corporation™ is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to design, test, and bring up circuits for compact, battery-powered sensing devices. You will collaborate with firmware and mechanical engineers to create a reliable, manufacturable system with robust regulatory compliance.

The role focuses on space- and power-constrained hardware, from schematic capture to final debug, with a strong emphasis on documentation and qualification testing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Strong background in circuit design, low-power design and PCB layout.
• Experience with sensor integration and regulated design environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test circuits for compact, battery-powered sensing hardware.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and test circuits for compact, battery-powered sensing hardware.
• Own schematic capture, PCB layout, and bring-up for space- and power-constrained devices.
• Work closely with firmware and mechanical engineers to integrate sensors, power management, and wireless connectivity into a single reliable system.
• Select components and design for manufacturability, durability, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop test fixtures and run validation/verification testing to support product qualification.
• Debug hardware issues at the board and system level, using standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.).
• Maintain thorough design documentation to support certification and manufacturing handoff.

Qualifications and Skills Needed

• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience
• Strong background in circuit design, low-power design, and PCB layout.
• Experience with sensor integration and signal acquisition a strong plus.
• Comfortable working within a regulated design environment.
• Ability to read and produce complex technical documentation, including schematics, datasheets, and test reports.
