Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a senior hardware engineer to drive rack-level design for AI hardware platforms.

You will lead schematics, PCB layouts, and test plans while coordinating with mechanical, thermal, and validation teams to meet production milestones. You will collaborate with ODMs on joint designs, qualify components, and ensure reliability across multi-card rack systems and high-speed interfaces like PCIe.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE/Engineering with 6+ years hardware experience.
  • Master’s degree in CS/EE/Engineering with 5+ years hardware experience.
  • PhD in CS/EE/Engineering with 4+ years hardware experience.
  • System/card/rack-level development and deployment of enterprise-class hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Lead schematics design, PCB layouts, reviews, and test plans.
  • Co-develop functional specs for systems, cards, subsystems, and rack-level architectures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and ODMs on hardware requirements.
  • Support rack-level inference solutions and ensure system-level performance goals.
  • Coordinate across Qualcomm sites and ODM/JDM partners.
