Job summary

Resident Salon Services is seeking a Licensed Cosmetologist for a part-time role focused on senior residents. You will perform consultations, haircuts, styling, and chemical services tailored to aging clients in a safe, welcoming environment.

Maintain high sanitation standards, stay current with mature-hair techniques, and educate residents on age-appropriate care. Build meaningful relationships with residents and families while delivering compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Current Cosmetology license is required.
• Minimum of 3 years licensed cosmetology experience.
• Experience with senior clients preferred.
• Proficiency in haircutting, styling, and chemical services.
• Strong sanitation practices.
• Excellent communication and empathetic demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide thorough consultations, haircuts, styling, chemical treatments, and related services tailored for senior residents.
• Offer gentle, patient care, considering mobility, comfort, and individual needs.
• Educate residents on age-appropriate hair care and maintenance practices.
• Stay up to date on classic and current hair techniques for mature hair, including perms, roller sets, and teasing.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary salon space in compliance with health standards and State Board Guidelines.
• Build meaningful relationships while maintaining a warm, professional presence within the community.
