Job summary

Resident Salon Services invites a Licensed Cosmetologist to join as a Resident Hair Specialist in a part-time role designed for seniors in our care homes. You will deliver haircuts, styling and chemical services with compassion, while keeping safety and dignity at the forefront.

You must have a current cosmetology license and at least three years of licensed experience. No weekends or evenings required; a sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Current Cosmetology License is required.
• Minimum of 3 years licensed cosmetology experience.
• Experience with senior clientele is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in haircutting, styling, and chemical services.
• Strong attention to detail and sanitation practices.
• Excellent communication and a caring, empathetic demeanor.
• Desire to uplift others through service and connection.

Responsibilities

• Provide thorough consultations, haircuts, styling, chemical treatments, and related services tailored for senior residents.
• Offer gentle, patient care, considering mobility and comfort.
• Educate residents on age-appropriate hair care and maintenance.
• Stay up to date on classic and current hair techniques for mature hair (perms, roller sets, teasing).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary salon space in line with health standards.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and families in a warm professional manner.
