Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Guidewire Developer to deliver configuration, integration, and customization across Guidewire InsuranceSuite and Guidewire Cloud. You’ll work hands-on with Gosu development and collaborate with analysts to ship reliable insurance-platform features.

The role requires shipping meaningful Guidewire work in production and mentoring junior engineers, with a focus on code and design reviews, and ensuring durable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Five or more years of Guidewire development experience.
• Deep expertise in Gosu programming and Guidewire data model.
• Hands-on experience with PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter customization.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of Guidewire database schema.
• Familiarity with Guidewire Cloud Platform.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop configuration and customizations across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter using Gosu.
• Implement product model changes including coverages, conditions, and term-level logic.
• Build and maintain Guidewire integrations using messaging, batch, plugins, and Guidewire Integration Gateway.
• Develop integrations with policy, claims, billing, document generation, payment, and reinsurance systems.
• Implement rules using GX Model, business rules, and validation rules.
• Support Guidewire Cloud Platform upgrades, configuration refactoring, and cloud-native patterns.
• Develop and maintain unit tests, regression suites, and automated testing for Guidewire components.
• Build PCF customizations following Guidewire best practices.
• Extend Guidewire entity models and data changes for future Cloud Platform upgrades.
• Profile and optimize performance of Gosu logic and database queries.
• Participate in code reviews, standards, and document decisions.
• Troubleshoot production issues across InsuranceSuite with SMEs.
