Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Engineer or Senior Principal Engineer in Rancho Bernardo, CA for Guidance and Control within AISR&T. Responsibilities include nonlinear simulation analysis, linear MATLAB work, and embedded flight control software development.

The role supports RQ-4 Global Hawk and MQ-4 Triton UAV programs, with potential for proposal work and new projects. Secret clearance is required; SAP clearance expected within a reasonable time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in STEM fields with 5+ years of related experience; or Master's with 3+ years; or PhD with 0 years.
• Proficient in MATLAB and Simulink.
• Knowledge of C/C++ and Python.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.
• Ability to obtain SAP clearance within a reasonable time.

Responsibilities

• Perform nonlinear 6DOF simulation analysis and stress testing.
• Conduct linear MATLAB analysis and gain/phase margin studies.
• Design, code, test and support embedded flight control software.
• Support flight testing, post-flight analysis, and parameter identification.
• Contribute to proposal efforts and new project activities.
