Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking a 1st shift GTAW welder for the Fluids Factory to weld aluminum, stainless steel, and Inconel, collaborating with weld development and engineering. You’ll load tooling, perform dimensional inspections, and own parts from start to finish.

The role emphasizes safety, right-first-time manufacturing, and ongoing improvements, with opportunities to apply automation and new technologies as Terran R scales.

Qualifications

• 3+ years GTAW welding experience in Stainless Steel, Inconel, Aluminum, and/or Titanium.
• Proficient in material preparation and joint fitting for welding.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to follow work instructions and part drawings.
• Able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Comfortable with measuring and cutting tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the weld development and engineering teams to develop and perform GTAW weld processes for aluminum, stainless steel, and Inconel.
• Prepare tooling and parts by trimming, beveling, cleaning, aligning, assembling, and tack welding; load/unload hardware using cranes or forklifts; perform dimensional inspections and prep for NDE.
• Identify and resolve issues in the manufacturing process and work with engineering to implement improvements.
• Work with teammates to build a culture of safety, precision, and right-first-time.
• Foster an inclusive environment for all team members.
• Help set up and optimize the production shop floor following 5S principles.
