Job summary

Control Risks is seeking an Embedded Senior GSOC Operator to support a Global Tech Client’s Global Security Operations Center in a 5x8 schedule. The role will require weekend/holiday coverage and active coordination across departments during emergencies.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3–5 years of security experience, with at least 1 year in a senior GSOC role. Strong writing, editing, and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support GSOC in managing operations and security procedures.
• Ensure consistency in operations related to emergency response, employee communications, travel safety, events and security systems monitoring.
• Manage information flow and prioritize requests to the GSOC team.
• Provide guidance and edits around GSOC products and protocols.
• Assist during emergencies, VIP visits, client events and high-traffic incidents.
• Notify employees during emergencies using mass communication systems.
• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholder engagement during emergencies and crises.
• Oversee security operations and administrative requests; assist as needed.
• Perform safety tasks as directed by client management.
• Onboard and train new Operators to ensure readiness and compliance.
• Conduct weekend audits of systems and procedures and identify gaps.

Control Risks is looking for an Embedded Senior GSOC Operator to support a Global Tech Client’s Global Security Operations Center.

The shift for this position is 07:00-15:00, Sunday-Thursday. This position will help cover 24/7/365 operations on a 5x8 shift schedule, and will require working weekends and holidays.

Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support GSOC in managing operations and security procedures.

• Ensure consistency from Operators in operations related to emergency response, employee communications, travel safety, event and EP support and security systems monitoring and response.

• Manage information flow and tasking to prioritize competing requests sent to GSOC team.

• Provide guidance and edits around products developed by the Operators.

• During times of emergency incidents, VIP visits, client events and other high-traffic incidents, provide active assistance and support to Operators.

• Utilize mass communication systems to notify employees during emergency events.

• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholder engagement in a wide variety of areas, including in emergency and crisis situations.

• Support the management of capable execution of security operations and administrative requests, including actively executing those functions where required.

• Perform various safety and security tasks as directed by Client management.

• Assist in onboarding and training new Operators to ensure operational readiness and adherence to GSOC protocols.

• Conduct weekend audits of security systems and procedures to identify gaps and recommend improvements.

• Act as a point of escalation for security incidents requiring immediate decision-making and resolution.

• Bachelor’s degree in related field (international relations, international security, political science, journalism, regional studies, etc.).

• 3-5 years of experience in government, corporate security or a similar role.

• 1+ year of experience in a senior role, assisting in editing and reviewing work in a GSOC.

• Superior writing and editing skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Understanding of CCTV and alarm technology.

• Professional demeanor with a positive attitude.

• Demonstrated team player with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.

The base salary range for this position is $80,000-85,000 per year. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
