Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Huntsville, AL seeks a Sr. GSE Design and Analysis Engineer for Blue National Security. You will design tooling, fixtures, and automated equipment for space hardware, collaborate across flight, manufacturing, and integration teams, and apply FEM/structural analysis to assure safety and reliability.

Please bring 5+ years of tooling design experience, CAD proficiency (Creo), and strong knowledge of ASME Y14.5. Travel ~10% and Top Secret clearance are preferred.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years designing, building, and commissioning tooling or fixtures for manufacturing.
• Experience with FEM and structural analysis plus hand calculations.
• Proficient with CAD-based design and drafting standards (ASME Y14.5).

Responsibilities

• Design production tooling, fixtures, and custom machines for space hardware.
• Coordinate with flight hardware, manufacturing, and integration teams.
• Develop statements of work and manage design-build contracts.
• Support vendor selection, fabrication, inspection, and commissioning.
