Chime seeks a Product Design Director to lead Growth Design, shaping how millions discover, join, and engage with our products. You’ll lead a team across acquisition, onboarding, activation, engagement, and retention, partnering with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Marketing to drive impactful experiments and growth.

You’ll champion AI-enabled workflows, develop a scalable design system, and mentor designers and managers to elevate craft and strategy in a fast-paced, AI-forward

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading and scaling product design teams in consumer tech.
• Proven track record delivering measurable business outcomes through growth & experimentation.
• Strong design leadership with focus on acquisition, onboarding, activation, engagement and retention.

Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire, and grow a team of product designers focused on acquisition, onboarding, activation, engagement, and retention experiences.
• Define and drive the design vision for Growth, ensuring alignment with company objectives and long-term member value.
• Build a high-velocity experimentation culture by partnering with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to rapidly test, learn, and iterate.
• Translate complex growth opportunities into clear strategies, hypotheses, experiments, and measurable outcomes.
• Champion the use of AI throughout the design process from research to prototyping and experimentation.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to identify opportunities for personalization and AI-powered member experiences.
• Establish systems, frameworks, and design patterns that enable teams to move quickly while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Balance short-term experimentation goals with long-term product vision and platform investments.
