Job summary

Elevance Health, Inc. is seeking a Senior Group Underwriter to determine acceptability of insurance risks and set appropriate premium rates for small, complex renewal and prospect employer groups in line with corporate guidelines and authority limits.

The role requires BA/BS in a related field and a minimum of four years of experience, with preferred credentials in CPCU, CLU, LOMA, HIAA, or PAHM and experience in level-funded medical underwriting. Office-based with hybrid flexibility.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a related field is required.
• Minimum 4 years of related experience or equivalent mix of education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Determines and provides guidance to medical underwriters concerning risk selection for commercial health coverage.
• Coordinates with other departments to ensure accuracy and consistency of account reporting.
