Job summary

Sapsf is seeking a Senior Group Technical Architect to bridge supply chain business analysis with SAP data architecture in a hybrid environment. The role focuses on designing scalable data models, semantic layers, and analytics fabrics across SAP HANA, MS SQL, and Teradata.

You will lead architecture transitions for reporting to HANA/S/4HANA, validate data models with SQL, and collaborate with process experts to ensure data integrity in OTC and PTP workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in IS, SCM, CS, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years techno-functional experience bridging business analysis and SAP data architecture.
• Demonstrated SAP HANA or S/4HANA implementation experience in Logistics and SCM.

The Data Architect / Business Analyst will serve as the principal liaison between functional Supply Chain business teams and technical development teams. This position is responsible for defining the data architecture (logical and semantic layers) that translates aerospace transactional part business processes into scalable data models and analytics solutions.

The successful candidate will possess a hybrid skill set, combining deep functional knowledge of supply chain operations with the technical proficiency to design data structures within an analytics environment consisting of SAP HANA, MS SQL, Teradata, Tableau, and other sources.

Key Responsibilities

• S/4HANA /SAP ECC/ HANA Functional & Data Architecture
• Analyze and map complex aerospace supply chain processes and transactional part lifecycles to analytics fabrics.
• Lead the transition of reporting requirements to HANA / S/4HANA architecture, utilizing modern data structures to support various analytics.
• Evaluate the impact of innovations on existing business processes and recommend architectural adjustments to optimize data accuracy and usability.
• Requirements Engineering & SCOR Integration
• Translate functional business requirements into detailed technical specifications for SAP HANA database modeling and other database technologies (MS SQL, Teradata).
• Conduct gap analyses between "as-is" functional processes and "to-be" system logic and provide technical solutions to resolve discrepancies in data granularity and lineage.
• Identify opportunities to harmonize and enhance semantic layers to address cross-business-unit and cross-system needs.
• Analytics Design & Technical Validation
• Design the logical architecture for Tableau dashboards, ensuring the semantic layer aligns with business logic, SAP HANA, and other source data.
• Perform technical validation of data models using SQL to verify that development outputs match functional requirements.

Skill Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a techno-functional role bridging business analysis and SAP data architecture.
• Demonstrated experience with SAP HANA or S/4HANA implementations, specifically within Logistics and Supply Chain modules.

Technical Skills

• SAP HANA: Strong understanding of HANA data architecture and the differences between ECC and HANA / S/4HANA data models.
• Data Analysis: Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis; ability to query databases to verify business logic.
• Analytics Architecture: Experience designing reporting solutions and data models for enterprise analytics platforms such as Tableau, SAP HANA, MS SQL, and Teradata.
• Aerospace Industry: Knowledge of transactional part business, including traceability, configuration management, and compliance requirements.
