Principal Systems Architect - Supply Chain Applications

We are seeking a Principal Systems Architect to lead the design of scalable systems and software solutions that meet business and technical needs across web and enterprise systems. This role involves defining and maintaining architecture standards for applications, middleware, databases, and distributed systems, including both in-house and third-party solutions. A key focus will be modernizing supply chain architecture by integrating on-prem SAP with cloud-native microservices and API-driven ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Evaluate third-party products for integration into company solutions and help define software development processes.
2. Lead architecture efforts involving SAP ECC/S4 HANA and cloud-native supply chain integrations (e.g., WMS, TMS, 3PL/4PL) using REST APIs and middleware.
3. Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, collaborating with development teams for implementation across e-commerce, inventory, and logistics systems.
4. Implement advanced capabilities such as BOPIS, real-time delivery tracking, and warehouse automation.
5. Define system integration standards aligned with enterprise architecture principles (e.g., TOGAF).
6. Design hybrid architectures leveraging on-prem systems and cloud services (AWS, Azure, OCI).
7. Participate in solution blueprinting and cloud migration planning focusing on scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
8. Conduct architecture reviews, create design documentation, and mentor teams on best practices for microservices, DevOps, and API management.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, optimized solutions, ensuring performance and data protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (required).
• Technology certifications (e.g., Java, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP) are a plus.
• 7-10+ years of experience in business environments, with more than 7 years in software or systems architecture roles.
• Supply Chain domain expertise is essential.
• Strong background in systems operations, infrastructure, network troubleshooting, resiliency, and security.
• Preferable experience with SAP BASIS, ABAP, microservices, Kubernetes, Java/SpringBoot.

Certifications
