Overview
Senior Group Sales Manager at Destination Geneva National – a privately owned golf resort located in Lake Geneva, WI. This role focuses on corporate, association, and SMERF group business to drive room bookings and banquet business during non‑peak periods.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans targeting corporate, association, and SMERF groups to maximize revenue during non‑peak periods.
- Identify and prospect potential clients, including corporations, associations, and organizations.
- Build and nurture long‑term relationships with existing clients, ensuring high customer satisfaction and repeat bookings.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns, promotional materials, website updates, and third‑party representation.
- Conduct site tours and presentations to showcase resort facilities and services.
- Represent the property at trade shows, events, and industry functions; host FAM trips for meeting planners.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring favorable terms.
- Coordinate with banquet services, catering, and reservations to ensure seamless execution of group events.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify business growth opportunities.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and revenue projections.
- Partner with the local Chamber of Commerce on lead generation and property promotion.
- Work with the Revenue Manager to maximize overall resort revenues.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in hospitality with a focus on group business.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong relationships with Chicago‑area meeting planners is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Knowledge of CRM software and sales tracking tools preferred (Delphi, Excel).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
- Passion for hospitality and a genuine desire to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
Computer keyboard use, verbal and online interaction, occasional light lifting and event set‑up.

- Schedule: 8 hour shift, day shift, Monday to Friday, weekends as needed
