Job summary

Destination Geneva National is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to join our fast-paced resort team. You will clean guest rooms, refresh linens, and ensure cleanliness and guest comfort across the property.

Experience is a plus, but on-the-job training is available. A strong attention to detail and a friendly, professional demeanor are essential for delivering exceptional guest service.

Our lodging includes the recently redesigned 146-room Lodge Geneva National, the Cottages at Destination GN and the new executive Suites at Destination GN. As part of our highly valued Housekeeping team, you would play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort for our guests.Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Clean hotel guest rooms, including vacuuming, refreshing linens, cleaning washroom, dusting, and cleaning windows.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the entire work area.
  • Inspect, fold, and distribute all hotel linens to appropriate areas.
  • Change bed linens and towels, replenish amenities, and ensure all supplies are well-stocked.
  • Inspect rooms for maintenance issues, reporting any damages, malfunctions, or deficits to the appropriate department.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Follow established procedures for lost and found items, ensuring items are properly logged and returned to guests as needed.
  • Always maintain confidentiality of guest information and respect guests’ privacy.
  • Operate equipment necessary to launder and maintain hotel linens.
  • Always maintain a neat and clean professional appearance.
  • Understand and follow hotel policies and departmental processes, striving to exceed guest expectations in every interaction.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in housekeeping a plus, although on-the-job training is available.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects and equipment as needed.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques preferred.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical stamina required for prolonged periods of standing, walking, and repetitive motions such as bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy objects and equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, linen bags, and furniture.
  • Mobility and flexibility to move around the hotel efficiently and access tight spaces within guest rooms, staircases, corridors, and public areas.
  • Repetitive motions to complete such tasks as making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning surfaces.
