Job summary

TD Bank Group (TD) in Mount Laurel, NJ seeks a Group Risk Specialist to support the OCRO’s Committee & Council Governance (CCG) by maintaining a strong governance framework for risk committees and councils. You will collaborate with chairs, partners, and governance stakeholders to ensure alignment with mandates, escalation pathways, and regulatory expectations.

The role requires advanced risk governance knowledge, 7+ years of experience, and proficiency with MS Office, SharePoint, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or technical certificate.
• 7+ years relevant experience.
• Advanced knowledge of risk management governance, programs, policies, practices, operating frameworks & reporting.
• Knowledge of risk management environment, standards, regulations and mitigation.
• Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends.
• Ability to establish goals and objectives to support the strategic plan.
• Ability to lead, plan, implement, and evaluate program/project activities.
• Skill in mentoring and coaching.
• Advanced skill in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques.
• Skill in using MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Leads the development and/or implementation of governance standards, policies and processes for risk committees and councils.
• Proactively analyzes risks and escalates key risks to appropriate areas for action.
• Provides analysis and reporting on operational risk and other major risk categories to senior leaders.
• Coordinates governance activities across Risk & Control Self-Assessment, BCM, outsourcing/vendor management, regulatory compliance.
• Supports escalation, review, and approval processes with data management and policy oversight.
• Develops Key Risk Indicators and facilitates communication of risk to stakeholders.
